The creator of a unique heavy which he dubbed "folk-funk," multi-instrumentalist Bobby Rush was among the most slanted characters on the coetaneous chitlin circuit, honing a unique expressive style which brought in concert a cracked lyrical bent with elements of megrims, soul, and funk. Born Emmit Ellis, Jr. in Homer, LA, on November 10, 1940, he and his kinsperson resettled to Chicago in 1953, where he emerged on the West Side blues circuit of the sixties, fronting bands which included such famed alumni as Luther Allison and Freddie King. However, as Rush began to acquire his have individual intelligent, he opted to give up the blue devils marketplace place in favor of targeting the chitlin dress circle, which offered a more receptive audience for his more and more bawdy substantial; he toothed his number one strike in 1971 with his Galaxy label single "Chicken Heads," and by and by scored with "Bowed Woman" for Jewel. He appeared on a broad variety of labels as the ten progressed, culminating in the 1979 LP Rushing Hour, produced by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff for their Philadelphia International imprint. During the former '80s, Rush sign-language with the LaJam label, where he remained for a number of old age; there his work became more and more stinking and deranged, with records like 1984's Gotta Have Money and 1985's What's Good for the Goose Is Good for the Gander ofttimes featuring material so suggestive he refused to re-create it unrecorded. During the mid-'90s, Rush moved to Waldoxy, heralding a come back to a soul-blues sound on LPs including 1995's One Monkey Don't Stop No Show, 1997's Lovin' a Big Fat Woman, and 2000's Hoochie Man. In April 2001, his term of enlistment bus crashed, injuring several bandmembers and cleaning unitary, Latisha Brown. Rush was hospitalized for a short time, so returned home to recover. Rush returned to action in 2003 with the release of the Live From Ground Zero CD and DVD on his possess label, Deep Rush, followed by Folkfunk, likewise on Deep Rush, in 2004. Soul icon Isaac Hayes died of stroke

Isaac Hayes, the deep-voiced soul vocaliser and South Park headliner, died from a throw related to high blood pressure, Memphis authorities said.



Hayes, 65, wHO once described himself as a "health fanatic," was being toughened for high blood pressure and had suffered a non-fatal stroke last year.


His body was found next to a running salt mine on Sunday in his Memphis home, and at that place was no indication he had hit his head or suffered any psychic trauma, according to the Shelby County Medical Examiner, Dr David Kraus, who all over Hayes died from a stroke.


"The Hayes family is comfortable with Dr Kraus' recommendation to not direct an postmortem examination," said a statement from the Shelby County Sheriff, in Memphis.


Hayes, who was born in Tennessee, wrote for a stable of stars at Memphis

Born into a melodious house, Robin Spielberg began piano lessons at the age of heptad; she besides played organ and violin patch a child. She accompanied Michigan State University and New York University, working extensively in each school's field section. After gradation, Spielberg began playing professionally, ofttimes at hotels in the New York region. Shania Twain, husband splitting up

Shania Twain and husband-producer Robert "Mutt" Lange are splitting up after 14 years of marriage. The 42-year-old Canadian country superstar and 59-year-old Lange married in 1993 and have a 6-year-old son named Eja. Her publicist provided no further details Thursday about the couple's breakup.

Lange and Twain, best known for her hits "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" and "You're Still the One," recently opened a hiking trail on their property in New Zealand, fulfilling a pact designed to allay fears that wealthy foreigners were snapping up and sealing off the country's prime real estate.

Lange produced three of Twain's albums: 1995's "The Woman in Me," 1997's "Come on Over" and 2002's "Up!"
